A Short Bio for
Eltje Brunemeyer


Eltje Brunemeyer, our Specialized Interim Minister, comes to the Middletown Reformed Church with much experience as a minister in the Reformed Church in America. After completing his education at Central College in Pella Iowa and New Brunswick Theological Seminary he was ordained by the Classis of Ulster and served the Gardiner Reformed Church in New York State. He went on to serve the Cherry Hill Reformed Church in River Edge, New Jersey for 20 years. Then he served the Pinelands Reformed Church in Toms River for 16 years. His most recent assignment was as Specialized Interim Minister at the Greenville Community Reformed Church in Scarsdale, New York.
During his ministry Eltje Brunemeyer served numerous congregations as Supervisor and received training as a Pastoral Counselor and as a Specialized Interim Minister.
Eltje lives with his wife, Mary, in Bayville, New Jersey. Their five children live in various regions of the country, including California and Hawaii. Among his interests taking trips in his RV and sailing his catboat on Barnegat Bay.
